Playtime 1999
The installation is sited across two rooftop courtyards at the Hakata Riverain office complex. The work is about relationships. The figures, made out of fibre reinforced plastic, appear to have been released or let loose into the large courtyards. Each pair is wrapped up in their own world, acting out a silent scenario. Work commissioned by Nanjo & Associates, Tokyo for Hakata Riverain, Fukuoka, Japan. Photos: Hajime Inoue (7-10 & 12); Permindar Kaur (4-6 & 11). Project Text
