Dudes consist of 18 human figures made of ductile cast steel and painted either blue or red. The figures are marching over a hill towards the ferry terminal at North Shields with two already having reached their destination. The work references the Port’s past as a magnet for invaders and traders. Commissioned for Art on the Riverside in North Tyneside, Newcastle, UK.
